Neuroscience and Behavior
Nicole Emmons received her B.A. in Psychology and Computational Sciences in 2020 from Reed College in Portland, Oregon. She then began her graduate career in 2020 with Dr. Tod Kippin with a focus on Neuroscience and Behavior and works collaboratively with researchers in the Chemistry department.
Our laboratory works closely with the Department of Chemistry and Bioengineering and Kevin Plaxco, PhD, to develop biosensors for the real-time detection and monitoring of a variety of molecular targets in real time. We are currently adapting the sensors for subcutaneous application, in hopes of creating a viable, minimally invasive platform for the real-time detection of both therapeutics and recreational drugs in vivo.
