Ways To Give

Special Giving Opportunity

The Brenda Major and Jim Blascovich Fund for Social Psychology supports the research, mentoring, and community building missions of the UC Santa Barbara Social Psychology Program. The UCSB Social Psychology program is one of the world's premier social psychological training programs, known for its contributions to both methodological and theoretical innovation. The Brenda Major and Jim Blascovich Fund honors two of the most celebrated faculty members in the program, who fittingly made important theoretical and methodological advances across their careers while mentoring countless future members of the field.

The 2024 Brenda Major Initiative for Social Psychology at UCSB was created to honor Professor Major’s contributions to science and the department and her being awarded the Association for Psychological Science Outstanding Mentor Award and being elected to the National Academy of Sciences in 2024. Dr. Major's accomplishments can be celebrated by donating to the Brenda Major and Jim Blascovich Fund for Social Psychology.
