Biography
Sana received her B.S. in Cognitive Science from UC Davis in 2025. She joined the Psychological and Brain Sciences Department at UCSB in August 2025 as a graduate student in the VIU Lab. Outside of research, she enjoys playing tennis, hiking, and trying new restaurants.
Research
Sana is broadly interested in how humans perceive and understand visual scenes. She is excited about using eye-tracking to study how people allocate attention and extract meaning from their surroundings. She wants to combine psychophysical experiments and computational tools to study the mechanisms behind scene understanding and visual perception in humans.
