Dr. Xiaoxiao Lin Named 2026 UC Presidential Postdoctoral Fellow
Psychological and Brain Sciences postdoctoral fellow Dr. Xiaoxiao Lin has been named a 2026 UC Presidential Postdoctoral Fellow (UC PPF). The UC PPF is a highly competitive program recognizing scientists across a wide range of disciplines who show exceptional promise as future independent investigators. Dr. Lin completed her doctorate at UC Irvine, where she built a broad toolkit spanning molecular neuroscience, monosynaptic anatomical circuit tracing, one-photon calcium imaging, chemogenetic circuit perturbations, and sophisticated animal behavior. She joined PBS professor Dr. Andy Alexander's lab in 2024, where her UC PPF-funded research explores the neural circuits and computational algorithms underlying predictive prey capture in target-chasing mice. For the award period, Dr. Lin is co-mentored by Dr. Alexander, Dr. Michael Goard, and Dr. Douglas Nitz (UCSD).
