Biography
Nadezhda received an MA in Linguistics at the University of Tübingen, where she conducted a bilingual decision-making experiment, investigating the foreign language effect, an effect in which people accept more risk in a foreign language. She also worked as research intern at Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain sciences where she assisted in fMRI research on syntactic processing in deaf signers.
Research
I am interested in the bidirectional influence of cognition and heightened emotional states. I am particularly interested in examining how cognitive strategies may modulate the fear response.
