Distinguished Professor Leda Cosmides elected as Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science
Leda Cosmides, co-Director of the Center for Evolutionary Psychology, has been elected as a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) for “distinguished contributions to the field of evolutionary psychology and cognitive science, particularly using evolutionary theory to develop computational theories of adaptive information processing problems.” AAAS honors less than 1% of its members as Fellows, “whose efforts on behalf of the advancement of science or its applications in service to society have distinguished them among their peers and colleagues.” For more coverage see the UCSB Current.
