PBS Prof. Emily Jacob’s article on a newly launched initiative to advance the study of women’s brain health published in Nature
An article written by PBS Assoc. Professor Emily G. Jacobs highlighting a severe neglect in the systematic representation and study of women’s brain health was published today in Nature. The article follows the official launch of the The Ann S. Bowers Women’s Brain Health Initiative, directed by PBS Prof. Emily G. Jacobs, which advances the study of women’s brain health through deeply collaborative science, which took place on Nov 16th in San Francisco, CA. By integrating research activities across campuses and bringing together world-class expertise in neuroscience, computer science/AI and healthcare, the University of California will lead these efforts in partnership with institutions around the world.
Prof. Emily Jacobs summarizes: “We are driven by a radically simple idea: that progress in neuroscience will flourish when the health of people of all genders is valued equally.”
Congratulations, Dr. Jacobs!
