The PBS Department would like to congratulate Alessandra (Allie) Mittelstet for receiving this years Philip S. Rethis Memorial Award

The PBS Department would like to congratulate Alessandra (Allie) Mittelstet for receiving this years Philip S. Rethis Memorial Award.  Allie transferred to UCSB from Sierra College. At UCSB, she was a research assistant in both Zoe Liberman and James Roney’s research labs, as well as worked as a playground specialist through Power of Play under Shane Jimerson. Alessandra worked three jobs while attending UCSB, including her continued work with the UCSB Family Vacation Center, the Alumni Association, and Campbell Hall. As a recipient of both the John Mithun Foundation Scholarship and Zorich Family Scholarship, Alessandra is very honored to be receiving this award. She would like to thank the psychology department, all of her incredible professors who helped bring her here, her parents, and the support of the Muscogee Creek Nation. Alessandra is happy to announce that after graduation, she will be attending the UCSB Doctoral Program in School Psychology under Dr. Shane Jimerson.
