Biography
Guangya (Gregory) received his Bachelor's degree in Applied Psychology from Shandong Normal University (SDNU) in 2021, and his Master's degree in Basic Psychology in 2024 from East China Normal University (ECNU) under the supervision of Professor Shijia Li. During his Master's, he focused on how stress modulates human social and cognitive functions. He employed fNIRS, fMRI, and computational modeling to investigate the behavioral, psychophysiological, and neural impacts of acute stress on decision-making on unfair offers and inhibitory control to emotional stimuli, as well as how early-life stress (e.g., abuse and neglect) influences memory in children and adolescents. In the LEAP Neuro Lab, Guangya is interested in understanding how individuals perceive and regulate the dynamics of emotion in response to emotional events, both in the lab and in real-world contexts.
