Biography

I earned my bachelors in Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior from UC Davis in 2023 as well as a bachelors in French. During my time at UC Davis I did research with the Tian Lab on optimizing in-house dopamine sensors. I did in-vivo work mainly, and focused on the use of fiber photometry along with different behavior paradigms to assess the functionality and use of the dopamine sensors in different regions of the brain. I'm now working with Dr. Ron Keiflin to study the behavioral and neural mechanisms that guide associative learning and decision-making, in a similar fashion as to what I studied previously.

Research

I'm interested in the role of prefrontal circuits in goal-directed behavior and instrumental rule selection. I explore this question using chemogenetic silencing and fiber photometry. When not in the lab, I love lifting at the gym, trying out new restaurants, and enjoying the sun at the beach!
