Biography
Ava received her BSc in Psychology and Cognitive Science from the University of Toronto in 2019. She then completed a Research Master in Brain and Cognitive Sciences the University of Amsterdam. Since 2021, she has been working with Dr. Kyle Ratner in the UCSB Social Perception Lab.
Research
Her research examines how social identity influences people’s thoughts and behavior in intergroup contexts. She is particularly interested the computational and neural mechanisms behind expressions of prejudice and discrimination.
