Biography

Yifeixue (Faye) received her PhD in 2026 from East China Normal University under the mentorship of Dazhi Yin. Her graduate work investigated the neural mechanisms of the spacing effect, with a focus on how the brain balances external encoding and internal retrieval during relearning and consolidation to support durable memory, using multi-session fMRI and a combination of representational similarity analysis, low-dimensional state space approaches, and neural computational modeling. In the LEAP Neuro Lab, Yifeixue works on whether the fidelity of temporal memory for emotional events promotes adaptive emotional recovery over time, and how the brain integrates temporal and emotional signals to support context-sensitive regulation of affect.
