Prof. Dan Conroy-Beam Awarded UCSB’s Prestigious Harold J Plous Award For Outstanding Research Achievements

Congratulations to PBS Associate Professor Dan Conroy-Beam, head of the Computational Mate Choice Lab, who was recently announced as the 2022-2023 recipient of the Harold J Plous Award. This award is given annually to “an assistant professor or instructor in the humanities, social sciences or natural sciences who has demonstrated outstanding performance or promise of performance as measured by intellectual and creative contributions to the college community.” Prof. Conroy-Beam will give a public lecture on his unique research on human mate choice in the spring.
