New Research From PBS Professor David Sherman Addresses Importance Of Non-Partisan Expert Endorsements Of Public Policies

The past two years have clearly demonstrated the striking impact political polarization has on public support for pandemic-related policies. In a recent report in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences co-authored by Psychological and Brain Sciences professor Dr. David Sherman and 2018 PBS PhD Kimin Eom, now a professor at Singapore Management University, the researchers demonstrated that public support for policies is improved, and partisanship attenuated, when the policy is endorsed by non-partisan experts.
