Suyi Leong received her B.A. in Psychology and Education at the University of Washington. She is currently working with Drs. David Sherman and Heejung Kim investigating how culture and social norms affect individual's behaviors. Her experience as a Malaysian growing up in Shanghai has shaped her interest in learning about culture. 


My research focuses on how culture affects individual's behaviors. Specifically, I look at how narrative, messages, and relationships in the context affect the performance and behaviors of individuals across different socioeconomic backgrounds, race and ethnicity.
