Biography
Ava received her BSc in Psychology and Cognitive Science from the University of Toronto in 2019. She then completed a Research Master in Brain and Cognitive Sciences at the University of Amsterdam. In 2021, she began her PhD in Psychological and Brain Sciences at UCSB.
Research
Ava’s current research focuses on how cultural and relational contexts shape moral judgments and social emotions. She is also interested in the role of emotions in fostering or inhibiting social change and collective action. Across her research, she applies methods from neuroscience and computational psychology to address questions in social psychology.
