Research
My main research interest is how do people maintain their close relationships, and what are the consequences of the different forms of support one can provide. I also incorporate culture into my research to understand the different ways people can convey love and provide support to close others, as well as to investigate which forms of support best fit one's culture. I have also looked at the unique benefits of different modes of communication, such as using affectionate touch to provide support.
